Death at the falls / Rosemary Simpson.

Summary:

When daredevil Crazy Louie Whiting sends a test barrel over Niagara Falls in 1890, Prudence and Geoffrey investigate after the body of a local Tuscarora Indian is discovered inside, believing there may be a link to their client, an heiress due to inherit land that could be worth millions.
October 1890. Prudence and Geoffrey settle into the most elegant hotel in Canadian Niagara, they observe a popular tourist area torn between natural beauty and industrial power.
